New Site Launch - MinervaSoul

I’m delighted to announce the launch of a new site by … me!
www.minervasoul.com is the website for Minerva, a dublin-based soul band.
Here’s the blurb…
MINERVA runs the gamete of soul music, from the 60’s Memphis and Alabama soul of artists such as Aretha Franklin and Etta James, to 70’s artists such as Al Green, to the Detroit Motown sounds of Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight and The Pips, Temptations and Stevie Wonder. We also perform the music of modern Neo Soul artists form Alicia Keyes to Joss Stone.
Any bugs, let me know…

I’m not dead Pasquale

Hi everyone - sorry for the lack of posts - been v v busy lately with college and life and whatnot - there was a bit of a shakeup with my end-of-year project - here’s what I’m working on now - http://www.superflyguy.org/
My part of it is mostly making 3D models and textures, so I’ve had to learn 3D modelling and texturing! Anyway expect even less from me until mid October, when college is done and I’ll be job hunting and maybe redesigning this bitch.
(p.s. sorry for the obscure title)

Copyright Protection

Three tips for ensuring that your hard work is not being stolen:

  1. Check your stats - I use Mint, and check it regularly. Typically, you’ll find a link from a forum where someone has pointed out that a site in question is stealing from yours - particulary if your site has been featured on any of the online galleries
  2. Copyscape - Just whack in your url and you’ll see if anyone is lifting your text, for example this guy (look just below the ironic “Where Image Meets Imagination”)
  3. Pull no punches. While the best way to learn how to design websites is to look at other people’s code to see how they did things, there is no excuse for just lifting sites and changing a few images, or taking text wholesale. So don’t believe the “I was only experimenting” excuse, because I certainly don’t.
