I’ve blogged about Hallelujah covers (and the original) before, but seeing as the X Factor’s bringing out a version for Christmas, I thought I’d link my favourite cover by John Cale – it’s not as overblown as Jeff Buckley’s version, and a bit plainer than most of the versions that Cohen himself has done.
