According to PC Magazine, MobileMe is now fixed. Sadly, this doesn’t reflect my experience. For weeks now I have been trying to add my fiancee Sarah to my account, but MobileMe just won’t accept my credit card details. Email support and forums haven’t been much help either. Sure, MobileMe does nothing that a combination of PutPlace, ZYB, Delicious and GMail can do, but I find the convience of a one-stop shop when you bounce between 3 computers and a mobile (MacBookPro, home iMac, work PC and soon-to-be-replaced N95) makes up for the price tag. Everything else seems to work fine – calendars, contacts etc. Just wish I could get herself on it too – why won’t they take my money! And how unhelpful is the error message – “it didn’t work because it was successful” – what the fuck?
